Being Spiritual

Jenniffer Weigel

Piety is not spirituality.

Being a somber, stern, dourer, teetotaling monastic does not make one spiritual.

Spirituality is simply connecting with spirit, most notably one’s own spirit.

Spirit includes light, love, joy, peace, encouragement, laughter, forgiveness, kindness, and acceptance.

My dear friend, Jenniffer Weigel, frequently says, “I’m Spiritual, Dammit!” In fact, that’s the title of one of her books.

People are spiritual in different ways. You needn’t conform to someone else’s formula to be spiritual.

Want to be spiritual? Be your authentic self.
