Cairns are man-made stacks of stones erected as landmarks, burial monuments, for ceremonial purposes, or for unnumbered other reasons. Ancient or modern, on various continents, they may be a few small stones or immense elaborate sculptures.

On the eastern shore Jenny Lake, at the base of the Grand Tetons, a few friends gathered to rejoice in their messages from the mountain and to embrace the exhilarating chill of her lake.

I’m so grateful for enthusiastic enlightened friends that inspire me. Thank you, Debbie, Lesa, Ellie, Lori, Misty, and Bridget. As for me, someone had to stay on shore to take this pic. Besides, I’m more of a warm water guy.

Honor your transformational moments. Mark your commitments, connections, and accomplishments. Stack a few stones as a monument to what you’ve been, what you are, and what you’re becoming. Your cairns will remind you of your growth and show others the way.
