The Gift of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a gift. Sometimes we give it to others. Sometimes to ourselves.

We are in control. We can forgive others without waiting for them to do something or expecting anything in return. They don’t even have to know.

Forgiveness brings peace and connection with self and with Heaven. With practice, it becomes easier.

Forgiveness isn’t being a doormat. We can forgive without accepting further abuse or allowing abusers back into our lives. Forgiveness them is not about them; it’s about healing our souls, and we are in charge.

Refusing to forgive ourselves is a subtle indulgence in ego, holding ourselves to a higher standard because we shouldn’t make the same mistakes we forgive in others.

It’s okay to forgive ourselves. Forgiving ourselves is a divine gift that makes us whole.
