The Blood is Always Red
As an emergency physician, I cared for souls of every religion, gender, age and race. I’ve sutured wounds and made incisions. The blood is always red.
I’ve drawn and infused blood. I’ve cauterized and debrided wounds. I've opened the chest cavity, wrapped my hand around the human heart and done open cardiac massage. The blood is always red.
I managed gunshot wounds in hunters, police officers and gang members. When O-negative blood arrived in the trauma suite, no one asked the race or religion of the donor or the recipient. The blood is always red.
“God hath made of one blood all nations” (Acts 17:26).
