Bless Your Neighbor
When I first offered intuitive mentoring, Norm flew from out of state to meet eye-to-eye. He’d read my book and had a list of things to discuss. I felt his soul when I picked him up at the airport.
Norm had ministered to thousands over the years but had lost his congregation because of struggles with alcohol. By the time he came to me, he’d been sober for years.
Norm took me to lunch at a nice restaurant. We visited for hours. As I drove him back to the airport, he asked if I would pray with him before he left.
“I’ll do you one better, Norm,” I said. “I’ll bless you.”
Norm hadn’t known until that moment that I was an ordained minister. We pulled up and stopped at the curb in front of the airport.
“Give me your hand,” I said.
I extended my hand, and Norm took it. I spoke his name, invoked the authority of our Almighty Creator, and blessed my fellow human being with all the profound blessings Spirit spoke through me. We wiped away tears, and he headed to his plane.
The experience lasted only minutes, but the impact on both of us has lasted to this day.
Your divine origin grants you the authority to bless others in whatever way Spirit directs. Take the time to do so. That’s why you’re here. And in so doing, you will also be blessed.
