It’s Just Biology
Touch the tip of your thumb to the tip of your little finger and flex your wrist. The ridge in the center of your wrist is your palmaris longus tendon. If you don’t see it, don’t worry; it’s absent in 15% of the population.
A palmaris longus tendon, or its absence, doesn’t make one better, worse, more, less, right, or wrong. It’s not a cause for judgement, criticism, pride, blame, shame, or guilt. And it doesn’t change one’s infinite worth.
A palmaris longus tendon isn’t present or absent by choice, accident, or mistake. It’s merely a manifestation of our incalculably complex and varied biology.
