Say Thank You
A new friend called today just to say, “Thank you.” She made my day.
Gigi didn’t just say, “Thank you.” She tracked down my number through a mutual friend and reached out with tearful heartfelt words of gratitude. She couldn’t recall how she’d found my Instagram feed, but she’d read my posts. She thanked me repeatedly for writing.
Gigi’s call was timely. Some days I wonder if my posts make a difference. Without sharing my insecurities, I felt supported when she said, “You’re doing what you need to be doing right now.” It was just what I needed to hear.
I’m struck by how the Universe knows what I need and when. This evening, I sent an encouraging message to a friend in Sydney, Australia. She responded immediately, “This one landed right in the nick of time. My soul gets it. My human self just needs a bit (or a lot) of work to get there. You are definitely doing God’s work. Thank you for today’s message.”
Take a moment to say, “Thank you.” You’ll make someone’s day, and maybe a lot more.
Thank you, my friends, for all your support and encouragement.
