Flashes of women’s faces came into my mind. I saw a collage, like a poster on a wall, first Mother Teresa, then Joan of Arc, then others, including my mother, my wife and my daughters. Later that day, I realized my vision had come on International Women’s Day.

I spoke at a retreat that weekend. Between sessions, in a private area, I glanced across the room to see a poster on the wall. I squinted and stepped closer to realize I was looking at the vision I’d experienced a few days before.

I’m so grateful for the marvelous, strong, powerful, spiritual, brilliant, compassionate, courageous, forgiving, patient, determined, beautiful, kind women in my life. I honor you.
