You Are Enough
You Are Enough
I was preparing to speak to a large group. I always take my preparation very seriously. I strive to connect and align, to get clarity on the message I should share. When I asked, the response came clearly, in a voice that spoke to my heart and filled my soul with light and love.
“Tell them they are enough. Tell them they are divine. Tell them they are loved.”
The voice has been my companion since I was a teenager. It has always led me aright. I trust it. Now it had given me a profound and simple message to share. I shared it. It was received with warmth and tears. I was so grateful for the direction.
A few weeks later, I attended a networking event where I met an internationally successful public speaker. I asked him a question I don’t now recall. He must have thought I was asking for advice, because he launched into a well-rehearsed diatribe about knowing my audience and adapting my message. He insisted I must adapt my message to my audience.
A few days later, as I prepared to meet with a client, the man’s advice came to my mind. I wondered how I might adapt my message to my audience? The voice I’ve trusted for decades came again. It felt firm and clear. It said, “I gave you the message. I’ll bring you the audience.”
I’ve spoken in many venues, both physical and virtual, since that day. I’ve addressed groups of various sizes, including groups of just one, eye-to-eye, soul-to-soul. I’ve delivered many messages on many topics but, when Spirit moves me, I don’t hesitate to include the clear and validating declaration, “You are enough. You are divine. You are loved.”
